A Sunday Ramble, or Modern Sabbath Day, is a satire on contemporary life in London, specifically following two companions on a Sunday perambulation. It was published multiple times in the latter half of the eighteenth-century and provides a detailed and specific experience of walking in London, with details on religion, politics, food and drink, social classes, locations, and morality.
